Suzuki was established in Hamamatsu, Japan on 1953 by Mr. Manji Suzuki and has successfully evolved into the worlds leading manufacturer of quality musical instruments for education. Initially the company manufactured Harmonicas and later developed the Melodion which in 1956 was officially adopted by the Japanese Ministry of Education for use in schools. It has expanded to include a variety of instruments including pianos and band instruments, and purely electronic instruments such as the Tronichord, Omnichord, and QChord Digital Soundcard Guitar. Suzuki takes pride in attaining a precision quality certification of ISO 9001. This level of certification is usually found only in the aerospace and high technology industries.
